CRO(Conversion Rate Optimization)

Conversion Rate Optimization. The systematic process of increasing the percentage of website or landing page visitors who complete a desired action — purchase, sign-up, download, or other defined goal. CRO methodology combines A/B testing, heatmap analysis, funnel analytics, and user research to identify drop-off points and iteratively improve them through a hypothesis-experiment-validation cycle.

Contemporary CRO thinking (as of 2026) has expanded beyond isolated element optimization toward full-funnel uncertainty reduction: rather than optimizing individual CTAs, Uncertainty Reduction UX frames CRO as systematically identifying and eliminating the specific uncertainty type — quality, choice, price, or transactional — that is causing abandonment at each funnel stage.
